Six BTS members are serving in the South Korean military currently, but it seems they pre-planned a lot of surprises for their fandom, the ARMY. After Jimin announced a new solo album, his best friend, V aka Kim Taehyung, has teased a new project, too. On Tuesday evening a poster featuring a shirtless Kim Taehyung was revealed officially, for a new project called Type 1. V shocked fans with the teaser poster for the new project. In addition to a grayscale photo of himself shirtless, the poster contains lyrics from his song 'Scenery', which released in 2019. Every time conscripts complete their (month-long) boot camp and leave for deployment, they tell me that it was an honor to have spent time with me. It is then that I realized I am taking a valuable first step with those who will become an important part of Korea’s security.” “I feel like I am living a very meaningful and rewarding life these days. Just as the blood, tears, voice and sweat I shed on stage contributed greatly to the development of Korean culture, I feel that I am now contributing to Korea as a soldier, in a different way. The group's eldest member has decided to gift fans with the ultimate gift-his return- after completing the mandatory military service for the country. On June 2, BIGHIT MUSIC revealed details on the celebrations that will follow the return of Jin and the 11th debut anniversary of the band. The annual festivities take place at BTS Festa. The company confirmed that Jin, who was the first to commence his mandatory military duties will be attending 2024 Festa and interacting with ARMYs. The boy group's label revealed an “in-person event led by BTS member Jin” will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Jamsil Arena in Jamsil Sports Complex, Songpa-gu in Seoul.
